Not Just a Label, but a Real Commitment
When we talk about organic wine, we often think of it as just a label, a green symbol that suggests "something healthier." In reality, organic certification means much more: it represents a rigorous journey, based on strict rules and thorough inspections that guarantee the consumer a truly sustainable and authentic product.

What Does "Organic" Mean?
An organic wine is made from grapes grown without the use of synthetic chemical pesticides, aggressive herbicides, or artificial fertilizers. But organic certification doesn't apply only to the vineyard: every stage of the winemaking process is subject to strict regulations aimed at limiting the use of additives and preserving the natural essence of the wine

The Inspections Behind Organic Certification
Obtaining organic certification is neither a simple nor an automatic process. Wineries must undergo:
Regular field and winery inspections: carried out by accredited certification bodies to ensure compliance with European regulations.
Detailed records of all agricultural activities: from vineyard treatments to harvest, including every step of processing and packaging.
Full supply chain traceability: allowing every stage of production to be tracked and verified.
Strict prohibition: on the use of synthetic chemicals, GMOs, and practices that are not allowed in organic farming.
Careful control over additives and sulfites: with much stricter limits compared to conventional agriculture.
Only after passing these rigorous checks can a product bear the organic label, a true symbol of quality, sustainability, and transparency.

Our Commitment: Organic from the Very Beginning
For us at Palazzo Centofanti, organic is not just a label: it's a true way of life and work. Our vineyards have been cultivated using organic practices since the early 2000s, with great care for soil health, biodiversity, and the well-being of the vines.
Since 2006, the year our winery was founded, we have been crafting our wines with passion and respect, always following these core principles.
